A truly iconic motorhome, the Coachmen Leprechaun is one of the most popular Class C RVs on the market today. With tons of amenities and safety features, there’s a reason people choose a Leprechaun year after year.

As the Coachmen Leprechaun dealer in the Orange County and Boise areas, Dennis Dillon RV stocks a wide variety of Leprechaun Class C motorhomes on both Ford and Chevrolet chassis’. That means we have a Coachmen Leprechaun for every person and family.

Below, we’ll take a closer look at what makes a Coachmen Leprechaun so popular and why it is considered the standard for Class C motorhomes.

What is a Coachmen Leprechaun?

A Coachmen Leprechaun is a class C motorhome. Class C motorhomes are larger than a Class B but smaller than an A. As a single vehicle – and not a trailer or fifth wheel – it is mounted on the body of a Ford or Chevy truck with both gas and diesel options.

While not quite as long as a Class A motorhome, many people prefer the Class C due to its higher clearance, easier drive, and smaller gas tank, while still maintaining the amenities of a larger, “bus-style” Class A RV.

Coachmen Leprechaun Interior Features

Both the Premier and standard models feature hardwood cabinets and premium vinyl flooring. Day/Night blinds and a jacknife sofa not only makes for efficient use of space but also creates a space ideal for relaxation.

Other amenities include HDMI and USB ports, a minimum 32” T.V. and backup camera in all models. A 6-gallon gas water pump will ensure your glass door shower with a premium shower head provides you with a shower just like you were at your own home.

The kitchen is massive, starting with a double-door, 10 cubic-foot refrigerator and a 3 burner cooktop. Most models feature a double bowl sink and there is the option to have a counter extension.

Comfort is a focus in the Leprechaun, as it offers a propane furnace and a powerful 13,500 BTU ducted air conditioning system in most models. A 4 KW gas generator that is standard on all models ensures you’ll have power in any situation.

Queen sized mattresses are standard in the Leprechaun, with the option for a king mattress in the Premier models. The bunk above the cab is extra long – 95”, which provides tons of extra sleeping room for guests or the kids.

Coachmen Leprechaun Exterior Features

The Leprechaun is built on either a Ford 350 or 450 chassis, as well as a Chevrolet 4500. With a fuel capacity of 55 to 57 gallons, you’ll have more than enough capacity to last you for several days on the road.

The frame of the vehicle is built to last, with aluminum framing and fiberglass sides and a PVC reinforced roof. This Coachmen also comes with a hitch that allows you to haul up to 7500 pounds with the Ford chassis.

Is a Leprechaun Good for Me?

For families and individuals looking to hit the open road while keeping the comforts of home with them, then the Leprechaun is your ideal RV. The Leprechaun is powerful and rugged enough for backcountry campsites, but large enough for you to haul all your gear – and your friends, too.

As a Class C motorhome, the Leprechaun is ideal for first-time RV buyers. You don’t need to already own a truck as you would with a fifth wheel, nor do you need a special license to drive one. The 55 gallon tank is large, but small enough for reasonable budgets.

Reasons to Purchase a Leprechaun

A Leprechaun is your vacation on wheels. When you take it on the road, you’ll be able to eat, sleep, and entertain without having to find a hotel room or a restaurant. Best of all, you can park and entertain friends and family because the Leprechaun has the room to do it.

While the Leprechaun isn’t the largest RV you can buy, it will feel like it when you are inside. The interior just feels massive with a huge kitchen, fold out sofas and a murphy bed, plus a massive over the cab space. Also, you can still pull your personal vehicle with the standard trailer hitch.

Best of all, the Leprechaun is efficient. When you drive this motorhome, you are essentially driving a large truck – not a bus or a commercial vehicle. This RV is well within the driving capabilities of anyone with a driver’s license and Leprechaun owners can’t believe how easy they are to drive.

DDRV.com has floorplans and virtual tours for a huge variety of Leprechaun models for both Ford and Chevrolet chassis. We offer both new and pre-owned models, which means we have something for every family and every budget.
